The goal of this book is to cover the subject matter in Health as it was taught in the 1950s, with content organised in tabular fashion to help memorization.
Students had previously studied numerous science courses in which they had obtained modest amounts of scientific knowledge pertaining to their own body and health. Students will now study personal health more directly, being encouraged to acquire excellent health practises that will be very beneficial to them as they grow into adulthood and become entirely responsible for their own health. After all, as Catholics, we understand that our bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit.
**Review Text in Health, written by a religious brother and sister, covers all issues in conformity with the teachings of the Holy Roman Catholic Church. Please keep in mind that this book includes descriptions and illustrations of bodily structure (bone and muscle), internal organs, and numerous systems (organ groupings), as well as a section on drugs (alcohol, tobacco, and narcotics).
