How to measure head:

Place sewing measuring tape aroung head as shown in image above, 1/2 an inch above the ears. 

If you do not have a sewing measuring tape, you can use string (make sure it does not have stretch to it). Place string around your head, mark the spot of the string that meets the beginning of the string, like you would a measuring tape, then lay the string beside a ruler to get measurement in inches.
