Minicourse appropriate for grades eleven and twelve.
In a world tinged with a sense of futility and isolation, young people need help in dealing with life's constant and inevitable losses. Although this course deals directly with death and loss, the main focus is on healing, hope, and empowerment. Death, Grief, and Christian Hope explores the meaning of the Paschal Mystery while dealing with issues such as death-denial, the acceptance of loss, the Christian concept of afterlife, and basic skills for grieving. Through it all, young people are led to encounter Jesus as someone who faced death and profoundly changed it—through his love.
