Pastors and catechists face the difficulty of welcome new Catholics into the Church every year, but few tools are available to assist them in introducing the Faith comprehensively.
Credo, a pioneering RCIA video curriculum that methodically teaches catechumens the essential truths of the Faith, was created in collaboration with the Dominican Friars and the Thomistic Institute in Washington, D.C. The accompanying guide book takes candidates through the course, introduces them to the treasures of the Catholic faith, and serves as a vital reference both during and after their formation.
Credo includes Mystagogy sessions, which are commonly overlooked after catechumens are welcomed into the Church. Furthermore, riveting interviews with recent converts provide catechumens with the opportunity to hear from their brothers and sisters who have already finished their journey through the Church's doors.
This comprehensive and adaptable 36-session program is appropriate for any level of current RCIA participation. Use it as a supplement or as the foundation of your RCIA.
The Credo Prayer Book is a companion piece to the RCIA program Credo, and it was created to acquaint catechumens and candidates to the abundance of Catholic devotional prayers. It offers a representative sampling of the most common vocal prayers said by Catholics. While it was originally composed for new Catholics, it can certainly be used by any Catholic to assist and nurture one’s prayer life.
Following the prayers, there follows a brief compilation of many key lists and other information, such as the Ten Commandments, the Beatitudes, the Church's Precepts, and others.
