The Parish Catechist Manual is designed expressly for incorporating the Faith and Life Series into a weekly instruction that can be taught in 60 to 90 minutes.  Each chapter of the Student Text is presented in a single lesson, and the catechist, whether experienced or an inexperienced parent, is provided with all the tools and instructions necessary to highlight the chapter's key concepts. 

The Faith and Life, Third Edition series is a thorough catechetical series for Grades 1 through 8.  It combines a solid doctrinal text with a scriptural presentation that is complemented by exquisite classical and original artwork.  Based on the narrative of Salvation History, each grade level discusses the historical narrative of God's compassion in order to introduce students to Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.

Using the time-tested ecclesiastical methodology and spiral development of catechesis, the series has been updated and improved over the years into a comprehensive format that is both student- and teacher-friendly. There are different instructor manuals for school and parish contexts, but the student text is identical.
