In Mark 9 and 10, Jesus teaches to his followers that in order to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, they must become like tiny children. How can we develop a childlike trust? We may be as charitable as the child in Mark 6, whose meal is used to perform a miracle. We may be persistent, like the mother in Mark 7, or honest about our flaws, like the father in Mark 9; in both situations, the parents' childlike trust motivates Jesus to cure their children.
Working moms Sara Beth Meyer and Allison Hsu polish a structure and design devised in their debut book, The Gospel of Matthew for Little Ones. Readers of all ages are encouraged to accompany Jesus from his baptism in the Jordan through his resurrection on Easter morning in The Gospel of Mark for Little Ones. The Gospel message comes alive and stays Good News for everyone to enjoy when spoken in engaging rhyming stanzas and represented in gorgeous watercolour images.
May us develop in faith, hope, and love each day, always believing in our Father and following our brother Jesus home.
