Sacraments and God's Grace is the fifth semester course (first semester in year 3) in the new high school curriculum Live Jesus in Our Hearts. This series approaches the framework outline in a new way, with an in-depth use of Scripture, an evangelistic strategy to presenting major concepts, and innovative student book features for student learning and review. In keeping with the Lasallian educational tradition, substantial resources—both written and digital—are provided for the instructor.
Sacraments and God's Grace builds on the Live Jesus in Our Hearts series' devotion to Scripture and Tradition by linking the Seven Sacraments to their biblical and historical foundations. The course delves deeply into each of the sacraments and their consequences. The student book's goal is to assist students relate the spiritual experiences of the sacraments with their own lives. To help flesh this out, each chapter includes highlights on Pope Francis' teachings on the sacraments, examples of holy men and women carrying out the sacraments in their daily lives, and pointers and encouragement for students to embrace the sacraments as the wellspring of their Christian life.
