Morality and God's Love is the sixth semester (second semester in year 3) of the new high school curriculum Live Jesus in Our Hearts. With an in-depth use of Scripture, an evangelistic strategy to presenting major subjects, and unique student book features for student learning and review, this series offers a novel approach to the framework outline. In keeping with the Lasallian educational tradition, numerous textual and digital materials are provided for the instructor.
Morality and God's Love investigates Christian morality from its biblical roots. It demonstrates, using scriptures from both the Old and New Testaments, that Christian morality is based on the sanctity of the human person and Christ's Law of Love. The student book, inspired by Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, covers the key qualities that underpin each of the Ten Commandments: faith, reverence, holiness, respect, honesty, integrity, justice, and the sanctity of life. Each chapter contains an extract from Pope Francis's teaching on the Ten Commandments as well as a brief case study asking students to apply these ideals in their daily lives.
