Some people are desperate for change!
St. Rita's was a bustling suburban church whose parishioners preferred traditional fare: classic hymns from the choir and no-nonsense preaching from the priests, pious devotions in the chapel and warm pastries from the rectory kitchen.
All of that came to an end the day the liturgist arrived.
He vowed to modernize the parish, to increase participation, and to make the Mass more acceptable to the interests of modern Catholics. But all he did was make enemies; it appears that St. Rita's was not yet ready to sing a new church into existence. As a result, when the liturgist was found murdered in violent and inexplicable circumstances, everyone was a suspect.
Francesca Bibbo, the irrepressible heroine of Death in the Choir, returns in Death of a Liturgist. Join her and the rest of St. Rita's wacky crew, including Sister Therese, Detective Tony Viscardi, and Ignatius the Hamster (along with a little help from the archbishop), as they try to unravel the mystery and restore St. Rita's to its former glory.
