Rejoin Psmith as he takes on New York like no one else, managing a newspaper, combating gangs, and facing slum lords. Psmith meets Billy Windsor, the sub-editor of the homey daily, Cosy Moments, when his pal Mike Jackson travels the United States playing cricket for Cambridge. Psmith and Billy, disgusted by New York's political corruption and poverty, transform Cosy Moments into a voice as “the guardians of the People’s rights.”
“I am Psmith,” said the old Etonian reverently. “There is a preliminary P before the name. This, however, is silent. Like the tomb.”
The gangs and various beneficiaries of the crooked system are not thrilled about this journalistic development. But Psmith is not daunted. The cry goes round, “Cosy Moments cannot be muzzled!”
