Death is the most significant challenge facing humanity today, despite the fact that there are many other challenges. Death is something that we try to avoid, ignore, evade, defy, delay, and even conquer. All for nothing. Death is always with us and keeps track of our days.

How can we comprehend and get ready for this unavoidable reality?

In order for participants to consider and prepare for death in the light of Jesus Christ, the Author of life, Eternal Rest provides the Church's teaching on death and God's response to it with knowledge and truth, kindness and compassion.

The debate in Eternal Rest is consistently directed toward the promises of Jesus Christ, from the examination of why there is such a thing as death and what happens to the soul after death to how we can be adequately prepared for our own deaths and what the Church requires the living to do after someone has passed away. A renewed thirst for the realization of the Christian hope of the resurrection is given to all mortals living with a sense of their mortality by such attention on him. It also brings encouragement to the mourning, endurance to the sick and dying, and endurance to those who are suffering.

The sessions of the Eternal Rest program are as follows:

Session 1: The Story of Death

What caused death to occur? What does death signify to a human being? Is it just a normal part of life, or is it anything more? In this first session, we will look at the story of death and God's response to it: overcoming death through death and resurrection.

Second Session: The Afterlife

What happens to our bodies once we die? What happens after the soul is divorced from the body? What is the verdict? What is the distinction between a specific and a general judgment? What exactly are heaven, hell, and purgatory? This session investigates the reality regarding what awaits the human being after death.

Third Session: The Hour of Our Death

The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick is one of the Church's seven sacraments. But for whom is this sacrament intended? What are the consequences? In this session, we will take a deeper look at this lovely sacrament and learn about its function in the spiritual fight amid serious illness, the closing phases of our temporal life, and the hour of our death.

Session 4: The Faithful Departed

What are the surviving supposed to do after someone dies? In this session, we discuss the final ways in which individuals who are still alive on Earth care for the bodies and souls of the dead. We talk about the work that remains for the living to accomplish while we grieve for the deceased and prepare for our own death, as well as the hope in which we live and die as Christians.
