This examination of the historical origins and meaning of the rites of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is intended to help the faithful to appreciate the Mass and to love it more profoundly in the midst of the present liturgical crisis. 

First appearing in a French Catholic journal, between 1992 and 1996, this edifying book is a testament to the monks of The Abbey of Le Barroux and their devotion for the Traditional Latin Mass. This English translation was first published in the American newsletter of the Fraternity of St. Peter.
