Oktoberfest, the world's biggest beer festival, began in 1810 in Munich, Germany, to commemorate Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen's royal wedding. Since then, it has grown into an annual festival of Bavarian culture and beer. Our Socktoberfest sock pays homage to tradition and workmanship, taking inspiration from the rich history of Franciscan monks in 16th-century Bavaria who carefully produced the distinctive Oktoberfest beer. The sock's design includes our beloved Franciscan monks, classic German beer steins (long emblems of German beer culture), and pretzels, a popular Oktoberfest food. The blue and white colour palette echoes the festival's traditional colours, reflecting the Bavarian sky and clouds. Accept the monks' tradition, the creativity of beer stein artisans, the delight of pretzels, and the exuberant spirit of Oktoberfest with each step. Salute to tradition and festivity!
