St. Thomas More was the father of a happy and holy family. They prayed and read scripture together. He believed in living his faith and teaching by example. Loyalty to God was first and foremost in his life. A man of great integrity, he would not compromise his moral values, despite the orders of his friend, King Henry VII of England. He held his strong beliefs until his martyrdom in 1535. He is the patron saint of lawyers and public servants. His feast day is June 22.
